FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Allen + Clarke ensure the sustainability of development projects?

A key part of our approach to any development project is to develop a practical long-term plan for implementation. This will include developing local ownership of the programme, embedding effective governance models, and supporting capability for local partners. Supporting local partners means that they are confidently able to deliver and maintain the programme after our direct involvement ends.

How does Allen + Clarke incorporate local knowledge and expertise into projects?

We will take a co-design or partnership approach to development projects to ensure local knowledge and expertise is reflected. This might mean having a local partner or subcontractor to conduct field work, or might involve our team working online or in-country with local experts.

How does Allen + Clarke ensure cultural appropriateness in development work?

Our approach is to engage local partners from the beginning of any project. This means we can integrate cultural considerations into the planning and programme design and ensure that we are respecting and responding to the unique cultural context.
