Malar believes that strong governance underpins healthcare, especially for the most vulnerable. Her work across aged care, disability, mental health, higher education and medical research has enabled organisations to deliver better outcomes.  Malar's expertise spans legal compliance and strategic planning, and she brings both analytical rigour and relationship skills to complex challenges. 

Malar is passionate about collaborative approaches, having successfully built a consortium between lived experience advocates, health services and academic institutions to drive mental health innovation in Victoria. Aside from her role at Allen + Clarke, Malar contributes to rural healthcare as a Board Director of Orbost Regional Health. 

She also does yoga (keeps her flexible), bakes (satisfies her precision-loving nature) and travels (to experience diverse cultures and remind her why inclusive, accessible systems matter).
