He thrives when translating complex legal and policy frameworks into practical solutions that make a real difference in people's lives. He is skilled in consultation design and facilitation and enjoys meaningfully representing stakeholder perspectives through reports and recommendations to effect change.  Having shaped Victoria's family violence reforms and led major discrimination reviews, Julian approaches each project with both analytical rigour and genuine empathy for those affected. 

What drives him is witnessing how well-designed policy can transform systems and create meaningful change for individuals—particularly those who have been marginalized or overlooked. 

When he's not immersed in human rights and policy work, Julian unwinds by expanding his vinyl collection, taking his dog Dorothy on adventures, or exploring Melbourne's vibrant food and arts scene.
